The sole is a map.

Istanbul lives on two continents. Kadıköy shapes the sole of the right foot; Beyoğlu shapes the left. The Bosphorus flows between them — every step reconnects Europe and Asia.

The map pattern is functional, not decorative: some streets were opened for water and dust evacuation, others widened for traction. The identity remains, but the function comes first.
